I run perr.one as a personal website for sharing projects, posts, and other things I make. I respect your privacy and try to collect as little information as possible.

Analytics

This site uses Umami, a privacy-focused analytics service, to help me understand how the site is being used.

Umami may collect anonymous information such as:

• Pages visited
• The referring website
• Browser and operating system
• Device type and screen size
• Browser language
• Approximate geographic location
• The date, time, and duration of a visit

Search terms and URL fragments are excluded from analytics.

Umami may use an IP address temporarily to determine an approximate location and create an anonymous session, but the IP address itself is not stored. The analytics do not use cookies, track visitors across different websites, or create advertising profiles.

I use this information only to understand general traffic, improve the site, and see which projects or posts people find useful. I do not sell analytics information or use it for targeted advertising.

Analytics data is processed through Umami Cloud and stored in the region selected for my Umami account. You can read Umami's privacy policy for more information.

Cookies and local storage

Umami does not use analytics cookies.

If you choose a different appearance for this site, such as Light, Dark, Paper, or System, the site stores a small functional preference cookie so it can remember your choice. This cookie does not contain personal information and is not used for analytics or advertising.

The private site-management area uses authentication and temporary editor storage, but those features apply only to the site owner.

Server information

Like most websites, the hosting infrastructure receives technical information needed to deliver pages and protect the service. This may include an IP address, requested URL, browser information, and request time. This information may appear temporarily in security or server logs.

Your choices

This site respects the Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals supported by your browser. When one of these signals is enabled, analytics are not loaded.

You may also block the analytics script using your browser or a content-blocking extension without affecting access to the site.

Posts and project pages may contain links to other websites. Those websites have their own privacy practices, and this policy does not cover them.
